As part of Rotary District 5160′s contribution to the our 4 Rotary District PR campaign to advertise the upcoming October 24th World End Polio Day events in San Francisco, 30 bus tail ads are currently running their routes on the back end of buses in our county. These bus tails feature 5 different famous celebrities all declaring that “We are ThisClose” to ending polio in the world. Indeed, it has been a very long and expensive fight, but Rotary International volunteers with help from the CDC, the WHO, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation have all but eradicated the dreaded disease and crippler of children forever!
